Your hosts Cathy and Ameal came to Manitoulin Island June 2005. Our goal is to make our little motel into a quaint restful haven for our travelers. We are constantly adding gardens, nature trails and picnic areas to enhance your experience here at the Buckhorn. We often get commented upon the cleanliness of our rooms and grounds and strive to achieve these comforts for our guests.

We want to be as Eco friendly as possible and not disturb the natural beauty of the Buckhorn property. Our guests are encouraged to recycle and we provide containers for them to do so. All of our cleaning products are Eco friendly and hyper allergenic. When weather is permitting we dry our linens in the fresh island breeze for the ultimate country comfort. During July and August our guest can join us in the Snack Shack for fresh brewed coffee and muffins fresh from the oven.
